Yoga is an integral part of well being and an amazing complement to Pilates.  Developed in India in ancient times, yoga is a practice which, similar to pilates, teaches control of the body and mind through physical exercises. Yoga’s focus is on stretching, breathing and relaxing and on the other hand pilates main goal is to realign the body through work done on the muscles.  As a consequence, yoga is an ideal partner to prepare or relax the body for pilates.

yin release
Get ready to relax. Get ready to release. Get ready to realign. Do you spend the week beating your body up with running or intense fitness routines?  Do you spend a good chunk of time sitting for work?  Are your joints achy and muscles tight?  Yin release is the ultimate class for increased flexibility, range of motion and release for tonic/tight muscles.  This uniquely designed class for ROMNEY is based on the principles of Yin Yoga, Pilates & myofascial release.   Some of the stretches will be held longer while releasing the dense connective tissues of the body: tendons, ligaments and cartilage.  Yin release is an excellent compliment to Pilates, Pulse and BOSU classes as well as other sports such as running, golf and tennis.  It is the class that will help you achieve true strength that your tight muscles are holding you back from.   This rewarding class will utilize different props to achieve a deeper release to improve your flexibility, circulation & endurance. Set to chill music, you will leave this class feeling invigorated and revitalized.  Yin release is appropriate for all fitness levels and flexibility ranges.

hatha yoga
"Hatha Yoga" is the set of physical exercise that make up yoga without the meditation techniques that are yoga’s spiritual side.
It includes different techniques aimed at stretching the body (sana), controlling the breath (Prenayema), developing concentration (Dherane) and learning relaxation (Yoga Nidra). By insisting on the complimentary character of these four techniques and their constant application, Hatha yoga goes beyond simple physical discipline and instead reveals itself to be a lifestyle suited for all.

forrest yoga
"Forrest Yoga" helps you connect to your core, getting strong and centered.  It uses heat, deep breathing, and vigorous sequences to sweat out toxins while the long holds in the pose progressions help you flush, oxgenate and rejuvenate every cell. Our mission is to create in each of us a sense of freedom, a connection to our spirit and the courage to walk as our spirit dictates.
